Regardless of other process improvements which may have been introduced in the AP department, if it’s still possible for an invoice to be sent direct to any number of departments, in any number of locations – errors and inefficiencies will remain. There’s an inherent difficulty in running an operation in multiple locations that no matter how tight the processes are – it can never be as streamlined as migrating to a centralised system.
