Tesco has lost another senior finance executive in a matter of months, as Mike Iddon moves to retailer, New Look. Laurie McIlwee stepped down from another key senior finance role at the supermarket in April.

The fashion retailer has appointed Mike Iddon to the role of chief financial officer and is due to start his new position later this year. Iddon has held a number of senior positions during his thirteen year tenure at Tesco.

He will be succeeding New Look's former Chief Financial Officer, Alastair Miller, who left last November, after thirteen years. Prior to joining Tesco, Iddon worked at Kingfisher and Whitbread, where he also held senior roles.

"I am very excited to be joining New Look at this pivotal point in its story, as it looks to consolidate its impressive achievements in the last two years and focus on its next phase of growth – both in the UK and internationally," said Iddon.
