| Thailand set to roll-out e-procurement |

Tuesday 21st October, 2014 The director general of the Thai Ministry of Finance, announced that Thailand will be implementing an electronic procurement system as from next month. This was announced during a recent workshop session on 'e-Government procurement system phase 3' for the government sectors and central government vendors. The new system will help increase efficiencies within government procurement in a transparent way to reduce corruption. Using e-Bidding and e-Marketing systems all businesses will be able to bid for government work set by the appropriate government agencies. It will be rolled out from November 1st 2014, firstly to the agencies under the Ministry of Finance and three Hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health. |
