SuperGroup CFO steps down after personal bankruptcy

SuperGroup Plc the parent company of Superdry, has appointed Nick Wharton as interim Chief Financial Officer, after Shaun Wills has stepped down as CFO with immediate effect.

This decision was made after the company’s board become aware on 24 February 2015 that Shaun Wills was made the subject of a personal bankruptcy order earlier this month.

Wills joined the global fashion brand company three years ago from the home furnishings retailer Habitat.

The company said, "This is a personal matter, on which SuperGroup will not comment further, and is wholly unrelated to the financial position of the Company."

Nick Wharton, previously CEO of Dunelm Group plc and before that CFO of Halfords Group Plc, has been appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.
