Tradeshift has announced the appointment of former SVP and General manager of Concur, Jigish Avalani as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to CEO and co-founder Christian Lanng, Avalani will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the company, and the accelerated expansion of the Tradeshift global supply chain platform.

The appointment of Jigish Avalani is indicative of the maturity of our business and the Tradeshift platform. He is uniquely qualified to drive operational excellence and the rapid expansion of our platform – services, partners and app ecosystem,” said Christian Lanng, CEO and co-founder, Tradeshift. “The market is at an inflection point, shifting from traditional on-premise and point solutions to cloud-based SaaS platforms. Tradeshift has been a key architect behind this shift. The battle of the platforms has now begun.”

Prior to joining Tradeshift, Avalani was instrumental in building and growing an app ecosystem at Concur prior to the company's acquisition last year. Avalani also brings decades of SaaS, platform and alliance expertise from senior leadership roles including CMO and EVP at SaaS startup Appature (acquired by IMS Health), and various executive roles at Microsoft.

“I am thrilled to join Tradeshift at this stage of its growth. The Tradeshift platform, born in the cloud, is uniquely positioned for accelerated growth because it brings all of the assets needed for an agile supply chain into a single, seamless and integrated ecosystem,” said Jigish Avalani, President and COO Tradeshift.
