UK Outsourcing company Capita, has been selected by NHS England to provide administrative support functions for primary care across the UK.

The four year sole provider framework has a maximum total value of £1bn. Under the framework, Capita will deliver administrative support services for primary care in England as part of an initial 7 to 10 year contract, valued at up to circa £400m.

Capita will introduce a common set of services, processes and standards to improve the quality, reliability and sustainability of administration support services.

The framework will help NHS England’s commitment to reduce administration costs and protect investment in frontline care.
