Keith Down, Group Finance Director at Go-Ahead plc, a provider of passenger transport services, will be joining Dunelm Group plc, a UK based homeware retailer as Chief Financial Officer.

Down will be staying with Go-Ahead Group, which operates Southeastern Trains until the end of the year. David Stead, Dunelm Group’s current CFO is due to retire in December.

Prior to joining Go-Ahead, Down served as CFO of JD Wetherspoon. He had held senior finance roles at Tesco, having qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG.

Dunelm, which operates with 154 stores, has another eight openings in the pipeline.

Mr Down said: "I am excited about the challenge of joining Dunelm at the start of this new chapter in its growth, and look forward to working with the Dunelm team."
