Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne confirmed in today's Budget speech that the Government is looking into regional pay for public sector workers. In a move which it is claimed is likely to lose more than £70m from the North East economy alone, the fear is that it could lead to an increased North - South divide. Read more
