| Kofax lands $7.6m deal with US government |

Thursday 29th August, 2013 Provider of capture-driven process automation services Kofax has been selected by a US government agency to capture and extract data from document pages, in a deal totalling $7.6 million, making it the single largest software sale in the company’s history. The agency will be using Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) to capture and extract data from citizen benefit enrollment applications and related documents and exporting content into its systems of record. Kofax Capture provides scan-to-archive capabilities by scanning documents and forms to create digital images, extracting index data for retrieval purposes and delivering the images and associated data to a variety of repositories and applications. “The total volume of documents that this US government agency will capture is unprecedented and will result in enormous cost savings for the country,” said Howard Dratler, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Kofax. “Kofax was chosen for its industry-leading speed, consistency, precision and reliability, in addition to an outstanding track record of success.”KTM adds document classification, page separation, data extraction and validation capabilities to Kofax Capture to drive capture-to-process applications.
