Falsified invoices lead to 13 months in jail for company boss

The owner of a South Wales company, who fabricated invoices so he could fraudulently claim VAT refunds totalling £163,000, has been jailed for 13 months, after an investigation by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Documation helps Children with Cancer UK automate AP

Children with Cancer UK, founded in 1988 to fund research, welfare projects and to raise awareness of childhood cancer was receiving a large volume of paper invoices requiring authorisation at various locations. They needed a solution that would remove paper from the process and provide online coding and approval validation. The charity also wanted to remove the need to print invoices received via email.

Peru moves towards e-invoicing roll-out

As e-invoicing spreads across Latin America, Peru has embarked on an e-invoicing adoption roll-out project. According to Peru’s National Superintendency of Tax Administration (SUNAT), by the end of this year more than 107 million electronic invoices and receipts will be in circulation in the country.
