The initial step, involving the transition of Ariba Spend Visibiliity, was completed with zero down time, and the company is now ready to shift the Ariba Network to the platform, which will enable participants in the business-to-business trading community to gain new insights into their operations and act on them more quickly than ever to drive unprecedented business outcomes and competitive advantage.

OB10 former CEO Luke McKeever leaves company

In an announcement this morning, OB10/Tungsten has said that former CEO of OB10 and Executive Director of Tungsten Corp, Luke McKeever has left the business. The company has said that he had already transferred the bulk of his responsibilities to focus on the integration programme. His managerial responsibilities have been assumed by Edi Truell and Lincoln Jopp, with the buyer-facing buisiness development roles being fulfilled by John Hall and Ruud van Hilten in EMEA; and by Rick Hurwitz, Peter Schiff Smith and Paul Frederick in the US.

iPhone trumps Blackberry in BYOD

Organisations are increasingly likely to shun Blackberry in preference for Apple's iPhone and iPad for business use, with many people selecting them for BYOD (Bring your own device)

That's according to research by Computing, which surveyed hundreds of IT professionals about preferences when it comes to deploying mobile devices for business use.

Invoice fraud on the rise warns agency

Financial Fraud Action UK has warned of a rapid spread of fake invoices, with some criminal gangs and individuals specifically targeting industry sectors seen to be softer targets. These industries include the financial services, local government, the food and drink sector and travel amongst others.

Construction industry to improve payment terms with new charter

A new Construction Supply Chain Payment Charter that sets out payment terms of 30 days has been agreed by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), the body set up to deliver the UK Government’s industrial strategy for construction.

The Charter sets out 11 “Fair Payment Commitments”. These include a commitment to reduce payment terms to a supply chain to 30 days from January 2018.
