The Euro Banking Association (EBA) has lunched, during the EBAday conference a market guide on Supply Chain Finance. The guide analyses the current trends and characteristics in Supply Chain Finance. The market guide describes the current Supply Chain Finance (SCF) ecosystem and analyses which drivers are propelling or constraining the take-off and adoption of this part of the supply chain management. It also defines and explores market opportunities for possible SCF services .

New research from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in partnership with the Home Office, shows that cyber crime costs its members around £785 million per year as they fall victim to fraud and online crime.
The report shows that 41 per cent of FSB members have been a victim of cyber crime in the last 12 months, putting the average cost at around £4,000 per business.

German software company SAP will be working with Specialisterne on a global basis, to employ people with autism as software testers, programmers and data quality assurance specialists. SAP sees a potential competitive advantage to leveraging the unique talents of people with autism, while also helping them to secure meaningful employment.
It is estimated that one percent of the world’s population is affected by autism (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

Warrington Borough Council is implementing a budgeting and forecasting solution by Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced) which will reduce financial reporting time from three months to two weeks. Collaborative Planning will integrate with the council’s SAP finance system and the first phase of the project will go live in October 2013.

After launching a new alternative finance guide, the CBI highlighted research that high-growth medium-sized businesses could be worth up to an additional £20 billion to the economy by 2020. It comes as a GE Capital report shows that SMEs plan to spend £51 billion over the next 12 months, but will need the right funding to realise their potential.
